Jharkhand High Court Ranchi
Jharkhand High Court Ranchi A circuit seat of the Patna High Court was set up at Ranchi with impact from sixth March, 1972 under statement 36 of the Letter Patent of that High Court. The seat was built up to address the issues of the Adivasi Population of the Chota Nagpur zone in erthswhile State of Bihar.
The Circuit seat was made Permanent Bench of Patna High Court, by Act no. 57 of 1976, by High Court at Patna(Establishment of Permanent Bench AT Ranchi) Act 1976 with impact from eighth April 1976. more infor.
The Jharkhand High Court appeared after reorganiszation of territory of Bihar in existing province of Bihar and Jharkhand on fifteenth November 2000.

It is for information to all concerned that
henceforth, if any bail application or any application is filed
in a criminal proceeding, a photocopy of Photo identity card
and a copy of address proof of the Pairvikar, issued by the
Government or any Government Agency should be annexed
with the said application. The said photocopies would be
duly attested by either the Oath Commissioner of the High
Court or by any notary. Absence of these, documents will
render the application defective.
